Splendid Six

I remembered it was our last morning in Vietnam when we skipped out for breakfast. Firstly, the breakfast at the hotel sucks and I really didn't want to eat it two days in a row. Secondly, I have been wanting to go sit in a little French-like cafe, have coffee and watch the world go by since we touched down in Ho Chi Minh.

So, that morning, DoRAYmon told me to wake up earlier so we can go have brekkie before flying home. That was the first, followed by many-to-come moments where I would say I wish I can have something and he makes it happen.

It has been nearly four months since the Vietnam trip. And exactly six months or half a year (depends on how you like to call it) today since we went official. And many times, during these six months, DoRAYmon has been working his magic to make things happen.

Things haven't been easy for us all the time. There was a prank email which nearly broke us up, times when we are totally broke (my bad lah, cos I went jobless for three months and wiped out all my savings), news of Mama diagnosed with cancer, career changes which affects the stability we were once familiar with.

But we have never backed down. Neither have we argued on how difficult things are at times. I am thankful that God sent me someone who has (and whom I know always will) walk through difficult times with me. Whenever things get a little shitty, I always think of that morning when we sat in the little French cafe in HCM and how we let each other in on thoughts of our projected future. That was the moment when I truly believed that something good is happening.

DoRAYmon said : Because we are happy, time passes by faster. Because we are happy, it makes the journey easy.
In reply to this, I say : Because we are happy, we had the most splendid six months. Because we are happy, we are going to have many, many more blocks of splendid sixes coming.

PS : Sixes = six months = many, many six months. Not sixteen kid for his dream DOTA & WOW team.  -.-
