There comes a point in your life when you realize :
Who matters, who never did
Who won't anymore. And who always will.....
So, don't worry about people from your past.
There's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
I was clearing my drawer when I came across a stack of cards from QX. Erm....silly me apparently did not do a clean job when I was throwing out stuff. Or maybe at that time, I could not bear to throw them away......?
Anyway, after I read through them - what to do? I am a softie even though I claim I am cold blooded - I realize that sometimes it takes a human a long time to understand why some people belongs to the past.
I have somehow let some of these memories seep into my future. But now I know why some people did not make it here with me. All that remains now is nothing but memories. After reading the cards and stuff, I feel blessed to know that I was once loved so much by someone. And because this love had once truly existed, the person involved will always be held dear to my heart. The memories we had will always be precious to me.
There is a reason why fate throws two lovers together only to rip them apart. Sometimes, that "One" is meant to appear in your life as a learning process. Sometimes, that "One" is meant to appear to awaken the unstirred emotions in you. Sometimes, that "One" is destined to be only part of your life journey.
And when things do not work out, the best way is to let them go with a smile. Sure, there are some people or some things that one can never forget. Some people, we hold dear to our heart. Some memories, so precious that we will never share as it has become a secret deep in our hearts. Some feelings, although they are no longer love, never cease as they had become embedded somewhere in our veins.
However, destiny has it that they remain where they are - The Past. And this is the reason they do not make it into the Future.

Enjoy the journey while it lasts....
How many of us starts a journey with a destination in mind? Admit it, you and I are all guilty of it at least once. We do something and all we think about is the destination - what we will gain from it.
Ever tried to just enjoy the journey? Whistle and walk......smell the roses......take in the breathtaking scenery......breathe in the fresh air. And not think of the destination at all? I tried and I realizes it does makes me happier.
Human beings are programmed in such a way where there must always be an "ending" to everything. As a kid, you are expected to grow into a sensible teenager. As a teenager, you are expected to become a responsible adult. As an adult, you are expected to start a family and fulfill your responsibilities towards society. Just when you become old and think there are no more expectations of you, you are expected to take care of your grand children, grand-grand children or even grand-grand-grand children!
Life is such, ain't it? We live by such rules that sometimes we just want to break free and bend the rules till they snap. So, why not just do it? Society might frown upon you, people might think you are mad, friends might even try to stop you. But as long as you are not hurting yourself or anyone, go ahead....press on.
Don't let the past drag you down or the future scare you. You are here for a reason so live your life to the fullest. I say, if you are not sure what it will bring, just enjoy the journey and not think about the destination as many of us do not actually get to it!
Btw, Check out my new BFF, Rachel! Chio babe huh?

I am sick. Very, very sick. -_____-
It's my annual once-a-year-sick-till-I-want-to-die routine. This time it's stomach flu plus a viral infection. As if one is not enough, I have to kena two kinds of sickness at one time. KNN.
Sometimes I like being sick. Cos it's the only time I can whine like a two year old and get all kinds of attention from Mama. Muahahahaha! But this time, it sucks. The fucking stomach flu is giving me BAD stomach cramps. It's so painful that I was woken by the pain an hour ago at 6.30am. Kaoz....want to sleep also cannot.
And know what? I realized Mama came into my room last night when I was asleep and left on my table :
Okay, back to bed now........

And know what? I realized Mama came into my room last night when I was asleep and left on my table :
- A bottle of plain water
- Hot water in my Hello Kitty flask
- Fruit gums because I kept on wanting to faint. Sugar will help.
- And refilled my cup with water
Okay, back to bed now........

Tattoo Number Three
You read right. Tattoo number three after eight years since the last one! Woohoo! No, not a fighting fish but a tribal design. The fish is too big so after discussing, I am going to have the fighting fish on my hip.
I know many have been wondering why a tattoo suddenly. Actually, it's not sudden. I've been wanting a tattoo on my neck for years but because of QX, I refrained from getting one. When we broke up, I figured it was time to get it but in my state of confusion then, I decided to wait out a while and see if this is really what I want.
Finally, after nearly nine months of considering, I decided that this is what I still want and when this is done, it's all for myself and not for anyone. It may just be a tribal tattoo to anyone but to me, this marks a new beginning of me - a start to my new life, a new found sense of independence, the confidence of going for what I want and believe in. I am not going to tell the old grandmother story again but for those of you who knew what went on, you would have agree that I have indeed come a long way; fought all odds to get here and this is the moment when I should be proud of myself. Ain't I right?
So, yesterday afternoon, I finally walked into my friend's tattoo shop- it's Ins Tattoo at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre Unit 02-09 - and got my tribal tattoo! Yippee! One of the things I like about having a friend do your tattoo is that they listen to what you want and they make sure everything matches. Because I already have a tribal tattoo on the middle of my back which I will extend in time to come, I can't have anything that looks out of place. So Guowei (that's my friend cum tattoo artist's name) picked a design for me - which I must admit I find too ku-niang at first. But the moment he stuck it on so I can have a rough feel of how it looks, I fell in love with it. It has a sense of toughness in it but not overly fierce looking. So, after fifteen minutes, the tattooing began. And guess what? I must be immune to pain already because when Guowei was doing the tattoo, I was playing some car racing game on my phone. Muahahahaha!
Alright, enough of keeping everyone in suspense......here it is - my new tattoo on the back of my neck !

Turi Beach
Honestly, I am having a writer's block. I haven't been blogging for two weeks - my bad - and can't be bothered to upload any pictures.
So, this is not an advertisement but a promise to a friend that I will write about Turi so he can know more about the place. Shah - this is specially for you.
If you are heading to Batam and wonders what you can do there, here's a list :
Turi has it's own watersports centre so if you are a family traveling with kids, rest assured there will be enough sea sports to keep everyone occupied. One thing I won't recommend is snorkeling though. Well, it's simple, waters around Batam is not well known for their clarity level so you might end up staring at your own hands the whole time. There's also a shooting range near the beach-side restaurant between Turi and Nongsa which is usually filled with families. Sorry, the singles are hanging out by the pool checking each other out and not shooting at some random boards...muahahahahaha! Go kart track is nearer to Harris Hotel so to get there, you need to get the hotel to arrange transport for you.
Turi has got two pools so if you are staying for more than a night, why not use the chance to enjoy the two pools? Personally, I love the pool in the new Tirta wing. It's an infinity pool and it's much more newer than the pool at Riani wing.
As for meals, Turi has got three restaurants that serves really good food. The restaurant on the second floor serves international cuisine and a must try is their beef burger. It's super JUICY! The one on the second floor serves Indonesian cuisine. And the last one serves superb Teppanyaki. Of course, if you have gone all the way to Batam, do go for the seafood. I am recommending Rezek Seafood Restaurant. Been there twice and all I can say is that the food is worth dying for. Two dishes that everyone must try - butter crayfish and black pepper crabs. I swear that you will want to order a second serving. Forget about the chilli crab though, it's terrible.
I could start writing about the golf course but since I hate golf - I only played golf cos my godfather made me learn it - and haven't been to the golf course at Batam before, I am leaving this out.
Writer's block is slowly seeping in again and I am kinda stuck at writing so go on, enjoy the pictures of Turi. Pictures usually speak more than words.

This bridge leads to the Island Bar. At the end is a sheltered area where one can do some cam-whoring and look out to the sea. Try looking down though - the water is clear enough and you can see the fishes and stuff in the water. No corals though.
